This platform came about as a way to showcase my love for photography and film. Growing up, I found comfort in all forms of art and its transformational power, but I undervalued the effect it began to have on me and my life as a creator. In my late teens I gave photography and film priority among my hobbies, and for a whole decade it became my signature artistic expression. Through this period I set the intention of mastering all the technical aspects that I found had restrained my abilities. After hours on youtube and other instructive channels, I reached a point where I found myself teaching others.
My desire to continue along this path, along with the encouragement of friends and family, have pushed me to do things outside of my comfort zone and assist in photography gigs that help me sustain a lifestyle of creativity. In the beginning of this new decade I’ve assisted in content thirsty projects that range from weddings, to auto shows, fashion, and real estate. I intend to continue working in these fields, feeling now more confident in the process. However I am always on the search for new ideas and projects that welcome my technical and professional abilities.
A key element in all the professional projects I take part in is maintaining a full understanding that the final product is not my own, and I closely work with my project team to reach the intended vision. In any collaborating partnership, I believe that honesty, and transparent communication, facilitates the smooth flow of any project without falling below expectations. My intention is never to sell myself above my skill, as I like to keep room to improvise on certain projects outside of my regular scope and deliver quality irrespective of the project. I also believe that to succeed in this field, one must be considerate with the subject matter, be that a living being or an inanimate object. We know that energy is a constant participant, always making its way into the lens.
